Our History
MONTBUCKS Islamic Community Center (MICC)
Why We Created MICC: The MICC was established to address the growing need for a
dedicated organization that focuses on facilitating improved understanding and
relations among the rapidly growing Muslim population and individuals of the broader
community and other faiths. Our youth and families face several challenges, trying to
practice Islam in a western society – we believe that Islam provides all the tools for
integration and sound religious practice in any society. Recognizing the challenges and
opportunities in this area, we aim to bring together a diverse set of experts, resources,
and innovative solutions to drive progress and make a meaningful social impact.educational programs for all ages.
OUR Vision and Purpose
Our vision is to become a leading Islamic organization,
fostering understanding and cooperation in the broader Mongomery and Bucks
Counties. Our purpose is to contribute positively to the community and the broader
society, with a particular emphasis on building faith, placing humanity at the forefront of
everything we do, and living in a peaceful and diverse American society. We aim to
provide and offer a variety of services to both the local Muslim and non-Muslim
communities, including religious, educational, charitable, social, and cultural support.
Additionally, we strive to share Islamic teachings and valuable community news, and to
establish mechanisms for collaboration and cooperation within the broader community.
Our Programs
Short-Term Goals:
1. Establish a strong, progressive and open-minded organization based on solid
Islamic principles. Bring together a dedicated team of professionals that will
manage and govern the MICC.
2. Secure a central meeting place for Friday Jummah prayers, inviting a diverse
array of speakers and scholars to educate and motivate our community.
3. Increase our outreach efforts and develop partnerships with key stakeholders
and organizations to expand our organizations reach and impact.
Long-Term Goals:
1. Please our Creator and be recognized as a thought leader in faith-based social
services, understanding and cooperation through research, publications, and
public engagements.
2. Expand our programs and services to cover a wider range of issues and reach a
larger audience, especially our youth.
3. Secure and purchase and adequate real estate property and establish a place of
community, education and worship.
4. Ensure financial sustainability through diverse funding sources and strategic
investments.
